How to use Indian Micro Blogging Site 'Koo'

In the previous, Blog post I have discussed about Indian Micro Blogging Site 'Koo' where I discuss about Self-Reliant App Challenge in India and Koo is the winner of this challenge.

But now I am discussing how to use 'Koo' app in this post. Koo is micro blogging site and it is alternative of Twitter.

What is KOO?

KOO is a micro blogging site like Twitter. It is available in 4 languages Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. And some of the indian languages will be include soon.

Creators choose KOO as name of this app because KOO is the voice of Loyal bird which is very sweet.

Who is the creator of KOO?

Koo app has been created by Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka back in March. They are winner in the Aatmanirbhar App Challenge 2020 by MyGovIndia.

Aprameya Radhakrishna is also co-founder of TexiForSure and Mayank Bidawatka is co-founder of GoodBoxApp, TheMediaAnt and also member of foundation team of RedBus India.

Why the Koo app was created?

There is many reasons why the Koo app was created.

Here we will discuss all the reasons. First PM of India Mr. Narendra Modi had been announced 'MadeInIndia' campaign where Indians can create a lot of things for India. Koo was created as alternative of Twitter.

Second reason, there are many peoples who doesn't know English, they can not understand English.

So Koo was created for them where people can share their thoughts in their own language like Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and many more where as Twitter is totally in English language.

So above reasons are become cause of creation of KOO.

How to use Koo app?

Koo app is very easy to use. Its layout, theme, color are awesome. It has Yellow theme color.

Before you signup it asks about your language which is an Indian Language. After you login you reach at Feed options where you can see others posts.

There is 4 other options in bottom. They are Tags option, Search option, Message option and Notification option.

In Feed option, you can see yours and others post. You can see Like, Comment and Re-Koo option bottom of the post.

In Tag option, you can see Hashtags(#). And also check which Hashtag is in Trending.

In Search option, you can search peoples who have an account on KOO app and also search Hashtags (#). You can search by typing or voice assistant.

In Message option, you can send and receive messages by others.

In Notification option, you can see all of the Notification which are you use in this app like posting, other post received, someone is following you, etc.

How to create a post in Koo app?

When you login, you reach at the Feed option where you can see a KOO button in Bottom-right corner. Onclick this button, you can see a Text option where you can write your thoughts and make it beautiful. After the posting your post you can find in the Feed option.

User Dashboard: Koo App

In the Fees option, you can find your face at Top-Left corner where you can see your Name, Profile photo, Your Bio, Numbers of Followers and Following. Numbers of your Posts, Likes, Re-Koo, Comments and Mentions.

At the Top-Right corner you can see a Settings option where you can control on your Account , Privacy and many options.
